Does the Fantasy Football Open Championship guarantee the $1,000,000 prize?

Yes, the $1,000,000 prize is guaranteed. The prize money is placed in escrow and will be awarded via check to the overall FFOC winner at the Las Vegas Main Event on December 22, 2008.

What are the age and legal restrictions for entering the Fantasy Football Open Championship?

The Contest is open to individuals who have reached legal age in their respective jurisdiction. Individuals who have not reached legal age in their respective jurisdiction can enter only with permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Is there a limit to the number of entries that I can have?

There is not a limit to the number of entries that one participant can have in the FFOC. However, the same participant may not have more than one entry in the same 10-team league.

Can I buy a three team or 10-Pak discount and still draft all of my teams in the same month?

No. You must draft one team in July, one team in August (on or before August 28), and one team after August 28 to receive the three-team discount. For the 10-Pak, you must draft three teams in July, three teams on or before August 28 and four teams after August 28. You can draft multiple single teams at regular price in order to draft at times different than the discount packages.

How is draft order determined?

The draft order is determined by a random-generated draft order in a snake-order format.

What happens if I don't show up for the draft?

If a team owner cannot participate in his live draft, the draft software will use the team owner's draft list, if available, to draft the team. If a draft list is unavailable or is exhausted, the draft software will auto-draft the team.

How much time do I receive to make a draft selection?

Each team has up to 90 seconds to draft a player. If a player is not drafted within the allocated amount of time, the system will autodraft a player for the team.

What are the roster constraints for the FFOC?

Position requirements for the starting lineup are:

  • 1 quarterback
  • 2 running backs
  • 3 wide receivers
  • 1 tight end
  • 1 offensive option player (QB, RB, WR, or TE)
  • 1 kicker
  • 1 defense/special team

In addition, during the initial draft, there are position limits for the entire roster (regardless of whether a starter or a reserve):

  • 3 quarterbacks
  • 6 running backs
  • 6 wide receivers
  • 3 tight ends
  • 3 kickers
  • 3 defense/special teams

The starting lineup position requirements are effective throughout the Contest. The entire roster position limits, however, only are in effect during the draft. Once the draft has been completed, you may exceed the entire roster position limits for one or more positions.

How does the FFOC prevent collusion?

All leagues in the FFOC are public leagues and participants cannot choose to be in specific leagues. In addition, there is a no-drop list and trades between teams are not allowed.

To ensure that each team has enough players to have a starter at each position throughout the Contest, there is a position limit for the entire roster during the draft:

  • 3 quarterbacks
  • 6 running backs
  • 6 wide receivers
  • 3 tight ends
  • 3 kickers
  • 3 defense/special teams

Please note that after the draft completes, the entire roster position limits are no longer enforced.
