- Participants in the FFOC compete in 10-team standard snake-draft leagues.
- On-line drafts begin in July and end at 4 PM CT on Thursday, September 10, 2009.
- During the draft, each team owner selects 10 starters and 10 reserves.
- The starting lineup must have - during the draft and throughout the Contest:
- 1 quarterback
- 2 running backs
- 3 wide receivers
- 1 tight end
- 1 offensive option player (QB, RB, WR, or TE)
- 1 kicker
- 1 defense/special team
- During the draft, the following position limits for the entire roster are in effect:
- 3 quarterbacks
- 6 running backs
- 6 wide receivers
- 3 tight ends
- 3 kickers
- 3 defense/special team
Once the draft has been completed, the entire roster position limits for one or more positions may be exceeded.
- Participants play each team in their league in a round robin tournament in Weeks 1 through 9 of the football season. Teams will accumulate one win or loss in each head-to-head match-up during the first nine weeks. Each team will accumulate an additional win or loss each week based on whether they finish in the top half or bottom half of the league in weekly points scored.
- At the end of nine weeks, each team will have 18 games attributed to its record. The top two teams will play in a head-to-head match-up to determine which team is the league winner and which team finishes in second place.
